Strawberries are rich in nutrients and are an integral ingredient in many delicious recipes, from a fresh fruit salad to delicious strawberry shortcake. However, the most commonly known use for the fruit is probably strawberries and cream! It is said that the pairing dates back to Henry VIII and was created by Thomas Wolseley as a simple but delicious desert to cater for large banquets.
